New Haven is a Dual Diagnosis Substance Abuse Rehab located in Spanish Fork. Found in 996, this rehab center is a chain of houses that facilitate up to 16 girls each and offers education and treatment in a home like environment. The center provides comprehensive family-focused healing program for girls seeking recovery from emotional issues, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. It is a treatment center and a boarding school for teenage girls ranging from 13 to 17 years of age.

The center contains many classrooms, an art room, library, and computer lab. The center also provides services like yoga, pottery, and physical education and music classes to its students and allows teachers to focus on individual needs in a small yet traditional school setting.

New Heaven specializes in providing professional care and treatment of issues including substance abuse, traumatic stress, family problems, eating disorders, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal idealization, attachment, and personality disorders. Group Therapy

AT New Heaven, traditional group therapy is assisted by masters-level therapists. Group therapy sessions are held from Monday to Friday with each session lasting ninety minutes. However, each individual is also assigned to three or four other specialty groups that specifically address her individual therapeutic needs. Family Approach System

New Haven is a residential treatment center. However, the center ensures that each girl maintains a close contact with the family with a weekly 90-minutes video conference call to connect for family therapy. The family system approach also includes a phone call on Sundays, and three-day family weekends held every two months. Parents are also welcomed to participate in a healing program, with family events, therapy, and parent coaching.


Experiential Therapy

The Experiential Therapy uses activity-based experiences to teach life skills in capacities such as relationships, teamwork, communication, self-esteem, accountability, self-awareness, and responsibility.

The therapy involves the girls in a service project, at least twice a month and has three main areas of focus, which are:

Staff At New Heaven

New Heaven RTC center houses experts in every field including clinical directors, therapists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), mental health counselors, school counselors, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses and a dietician, psychiatrists and trained residential staff.  The staff provides guidance, supervision, and assist in creating a community amongst the girls.

New Haven treatment teams meet each week and involve all direct care sections. The multi-disciplinary team members discuss each individual and family every week. The discussion is conducted in depth, to assess progress and therapeutic interventions.
